ABOUT CAMILLA
Camilla Rahaman-MacDonald is an Emmy-nominated television producer, director, content creator and creative professional with more than 25 years of experience in entertainment, media and storytelling.
Born in Norway (Kjeldal) raised in London, with Indian and Irish heritage, and now based in Southern California, Camilla brings a uniquely international perspective to her work. Her career began in London, where she worked on the groundbreaking global franchise Pop Idol, before moving to the United States and helping launch American Idol.
She went on to produce and direct across major television networks, earning two Emmy nominations as Co-Executive Producer of the transformational lifestyle series How Do I Look? Her career has spanned competition television, lifestyle programming, docu-series and live events, with experience in creative development, multi-camera directing, talent, production and major brand integrations.
Today, Camilla brings that storytelling experience to Camilla Creative Studio, creating elevated, authentic content for beauty, wellness, travel, home, fashion and lifestyle brands. As a 50+ creator with decades of experience both behind and in front of the camera, she understands how to create content that feels natural and relatable while still delivering the polish and intention brands need.
Before moving behind the camera, Camilla trained in classical ballet at the Royal Academy of Dance and at The Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance in London and worked internationally as a dancer and model for 15 years.
She is also an abstract artist whose work has been exhibited in Southern California.
From the stage to television, from behind the camera to in front of it, and now creating for brands, Camilla's lifelong creative instinct has remained the same: finding the authentic truth at the heart of every story and human experience.
